Rides built around appointments, not around traffic

Bloomlake carries ambulatory riders, meaning people who can walk to and from the vehicle on their own or with a cane, walker, or a steadying arm. Every ride below is that kind of ride.

What we drive people to

Medical and dental appointments

Primary care, specialists, dental, eye care, and lab visits. One way or round trip, and we can wait if the visit is short.

Dialysis

Dialysis is the ride that cannot slip. We build a standing schedule around your chair time so the same trip happens the same way every week, without a phone call each time.

Chemotherapy and infusion

Treatment days are long and you will not feel like driving afterwards. We plan the return leg for how you will feel at the end, not the beginning.

Physical and occupational therapy

Recurring rehab visits on a fixed weekly pattern, so recovery is not interrupted by a transport problem.

Wound care and follow-up visits

Short, frequent appointments that are easy to miss and expensive to miss. We keep them on the calendar.

Hospital and clinic discharge

A calm ride home when you are released, coordinated with your care team so nobody is left waiting in a lobby.

Signature service

Wait & Return

Some appointments cannot end with you finding your own way home. Sedation procedures, colonoscopies, minor same-day surgery, and eye procedures all require someone to physically take you home afterwards, and many clinics will not discharge you otherwise.

For those, your driver stays nearby for the whole visit rather than dropping you off and moving on to another job. When the clinic is ready to release you, we are already there.

Tell us when you book that the appointment involves sedation. It changes how we schedule the day.

Ask about Wait & Return when you call

It is booked differently from a standard round trip because the vehicle is committed to you for the whole window, so it needs more notice.

Standing weekly schedules

If you make the same trip every week, you should not have to book it every week.

Set it once

We record the days, the times, the pickup address, and the destination, then run it as a recurring schedule.

Same driver where we can

Familiarity matters, particularly for riders with memory or anxiety concerns. We keep the assignment steady wherever scheduling allows.

Changes are one phone call

Treatment schedules change. Tell us once and the standing schedule changes with it.

What we do not do yet

Being straight about this saves you a phone call.

Coming soon

Wheelchair transport

Bloomlake serves ambulatory riders only today. Wheelchair-accessible service is on the way. Book on the site or call us anyway and we will note you on the waitlist so you hear the moment it is running.

Stretcher and gurney transport

Not offered. If a rider cannot sit upright for the journey, they need a stretcher provider or an ambulance service.

Emergencies

Bloomlake is non-emergency transportation. If this is a medical emergency, call 911.

What wheelchair service will look like

When wheelchair-accessible transport starts, it will run on vehicles with a rear ramp that reaches all the way to the ground, so a wheelchair rolls straight on rather than being lifted.

Ask to be added to the waitlist now and we will call you the moment it is running.

How rides are paid for

Medical Assistance and health plans

Bloomlake keeps a National Provider Identifier on file, so covered rides can be billed to your coverage rather than to you. If you are not sure what your plan covers, call and we will help you find out.

Private pay

No coverage, or a trip your coverage will not pay for? You can book and pay directly. Ask for the fare when you call so there is no surprise at the end of the ride.
